Bird, bullet or drone?
The media tells us that a drone caused a microlight aircraft to crash here in New Zealand and that there are drones mennacing airliners on approach to our largest international airport. But how much of this is fact and how much is hype and hysteria drummed up by those wo fear for their livelihoods as much as their lives and a media which has long ago given up the ethics and principles of the Fourth Estate?
And why, given how concerned pilots claim to be over the rising number of incidents involving drones, are there no dashcams on airliners?
