How to spend four-figure sum in the blink of an eye when you don't have a "flair" for landing an expensive RC model plane powered by a turbine engine at the Tokoroa airfield on a warm afternoon in late spring 2013.
The pilot never looked as if he had this model in total control -- as can be seen by the violent banking and over-controlling throughout the flight. He seems to have mastered the difficult "half-roll on landing" maneuver though :-)
Sorry about the shaky footage -- even the Sony's "super steady shot" has trouble compensating for the effects of too much coffee and a 35x hand-held zoom :-) Yes, I was standing right next to the gokart track too.
