The full length of Tokoroa Airport (NZTO) by drone
How fast was this drone flying?
Many regular viewers will have seen bits of the Tokoroa Airfield in my videos but I figured I'd take you on a leisurely flight down the entire (almost 1Km) of sealed runway, using the Foxtech Lightning 220 and the Runcam 3. It's perhaps boring to some but it will give you an idea of the size of the airfield and also the horse-training track that runs beside it. Note all the water in the dirt-bike track, yes, we've had a lot of rain!
Drone: Foxtech Lightning 220
Receiver: FrSky D4RII
FC: Naze32 rev 6
FPV: 5.8GHz, 200mW
Battery: Turnigy NanoTech 1300/4S/45C
You can work out the average speed of the miniquad now that you know the distance traveled :-) Note that this was just under half-throttle.
