Pulsejet-powered Long-EZ (part 3)
Here's another flight of the pulse-jet powered Long-EZ ARF. After a lot of ground-work sorting out the fuel system I ran it on an old (30 minutes total running time) reed-valve that was near the end of its life. You can hear that the engine starts to run rough as the video goes on. I stuffed up the landing too -- didn't feel like walking (again) so I put it down hot and bounced it (damn!).
The fuel system is now sorted so I'll post more videos later and I'm already making the first batch of these engines if anyone wants one.
And, believe it or not, just 10 minutes after that flight, a *real* vari-EZ arrived at our field. Only the second time I've seen one here in four years. What were the odds of that?
