Why are the media and airlines not calling for tougher rules and harsher punishments for anyone who releases a balloon near an airport? Why is it that the COO of Air New Zealand complains about drone rules -- when he cleary doesn't know what those rules are? And how a steel bar suspended from a 1.5 cubic metre hydrogen balloon be effectively unregulated -- whilst a 25g child's toy can't be flown within 4Km of an airport without risking a $1,500 fine from CAA?
Yes, it's the weird, whacky and completely unfathomable world of the media, drones and regulations.
