A pulsejet-powered drag boat versus a V8-powered one. It was Junkyard Megawars and I was the technical advisor for the "red" team who constructed a ramshackle boat powered by a huge (badly built) pulsejet engine.
Guess which boat won :-)
I've also been an "expert" for the UK series ScrapHeap Challenge and built a jet-powered Lazy-boy recliner and jet-powered hovercraft for the NZ TV series Let's Get Inventin.
