FT Bloody Wonder - First Flight Ever for the Plane and Pilot! (with crash!)
This is the first RC plane I have ever flown in my life! I built this plane out of foam board from DollarTree. The plans were free downloadable plans from flitetest.com. It is called the FT Blood Wonder and is a combination of two older planes - watch the flitetest videos for more info on it. The electronics mostly came from HobbyKing.com.
This plane is a lot of fun to fly! It did fly a bit fast for a newbie, but all the video games I grew up playing must have helped a little because I did get to fly it for a while before its quick stop at the end! This plane has only ailerons and an elevator - no rudder. On a plane this size, I don't think the rudder is all that important.
I was thinking the first flight would end in a crash but I was hoping for the best. After the crash, I replaced the propeller and was able to fly it again. The wires to the ailerons were bent some from the crash and it kept pulling to the right. I should have done some fine adjustments before I flew but it wasn't too hard to just keep the stick a little to the left.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video!
