This “Follow Me” Drone Uses a Smart Watch and Voice Commands
In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew hears from Trey Player, who represented the Flypro XEagle quadcopter at the 2015 International Drone Expo in Los Angeles, California. The XEagle is designed as a “Follow Me” drone for action sports enthusiasts, capable of being controlled entirely by means of a dedicated wrist controller and voice commands. The drone itself includes a gimbal-mounted 4K video camera, also capable of capturing 12-megapixel still images, and the final design will also incorporate ultrasonic collision avoidance sensors.
