IGN PC Editors Charles Onyett and Nick Kolan take you through the basics of the gloriously fast-paced Tribes Ascend closed beta. A cult classic, the original Starsiege: Tribes released on PC in 1998 and featured furious, online FPS action revolving around jetpack gameplay. Tribes: Ascend manages to recapture the intense and fun aerial combat while adding multiple new addictive components which are sure to satisfy both new and old fans. Set to be a free-2-play title, Tribes Ascend will feature special equipment, classes, and more available for purchase via microtransaction. Developed by Hi-Rez Studios, keep an eye out for the game later in 2012.
