Easter holidays, which meant me and my 9-year old daughter, Sophie, were out for a play - and I gave her a try of FPVing.
Despite me looking like I grabbed the radio off her, I didn't, and she had a 6 minute flight, where I made the odd correction - but she had a good old go.
I used my Naza-based quad in GPS mode, and had a 50% throttle hold switched on so she didn't have to worry about controlling the throttle. When we do this again, I'll try and setup my old 9x as a trainer as it would be a lot easier.
Just to explain, I've got my FatSharks on the ground which is receiving the 5.8 video, and the AV out is connected to the ECO goggles which Sophie is using. I've glued in an old pair of ski goggles (with the lenses removed) which make it easy and comfy to wear.
We had some great fun on playing with the quad today - this was cool, but launching a little parachute man form the quad was a real laugh as well.
