Il s’agit de la première compétition à offrir la possibilité à des jeunes skippers (âgés de 16 à 20 ans) de naviguer sur des Flying Phantoms, un catamaran de 18 pieds doté de foils et capable de voler.
Après 6 étapes dans le monde en 2015, La Baule a accueilli la première édition du Red Bull Foiling Generation en France.
