In this video we review the video quality of the Sky-HD01.
Some more technical information:
The camera uses H.264 encoding (like pretty much everyone else) at a bit rate of around 19,000 kpbs - so that is very similar to what the Mobius and the RunCam does. The video quality is very similar to my Mobius - with the usual compression artefacts increased by YouTube compression, except for the exposure compensation stepping which I also mention in the video.
The quality of the live-out is ok, not as good as a CCD board cam, but I had no problems flying with it. My subjective observation is that the live-out quality is better than that of the Mobius. The VTX seems to be operating well within its specifications - at least I got no interference at all within the area which I usually fly, even as I used the default rubber ducky antenna on the VTX. That means, its range (with a rubber ducky antenna) is as good or better than the range of a 200mW VTX with cloverleaf antenna.
