Electric RC planes and multirotors rely on an efficient combination of brushless motors, ESCs and propellers. This thrust measuring test-stand from Turnigy could be an invaluable tool for selecting the best combination of components for any small to medium-sized model.
Pro's:
- reasonably priced
- mechanically sound
- simple to use
- seems fairly accurate
Con's:
- budget electronics inside
- thrust plate alignment not 100%
After I've done the mini-quad motor shootout review, I'll do a video with any other observations I might come up with on this product but in the meantime, it's a thumbs-up bit of kit that any serious electric flier should have.
