This is my video qualifier for the World Drone Prix race in Dubai. IDRA was kind enough to host a pre-set track that allowed us to film all the required techniques in one go. The rules were pretty simple...
- Complete 1000 meters or 5.5 laps
- Navigate all the corners
- complete the elevation change at least once
- Do a pit stop (just had to land in the pad)
Later on they ended up taking out the elevation changes after someone crashed into the rafters doing freestyle. So I think only the first handful of pilots flew the original course.
Definitely a unique experience in terms of racing.
