Just a quick demo of my method for taking a Google Sketchup model and preparing/repairing it for 3d printing on a printer such as the Solidoodle. I have uploaded the AML switch caps to Thingiverse and can be found here:
*UPDATE* You can save alot of these steps by just exporting the .stl from Sketchup and "fix" it in Netfab for most things. This method still works fine too- it's just more work. You can even do a small amount of repairs right in the print programs now. This is a fast evolving world :) Cheers!
