This example of the Cresco agricultural spray and fertilizer aircraft was parked at the Tokoroa airfield this week.
These are rather impressive aircraft, despite their rather rough appearance and can carry an astonishing 2.2 tonnes of payload, thanks to the huge gas-turbine engine and constant-speed prop up front.
This particular plane was parked up while waiting for the wind to drop so that it could spray the local plantation forests.
I hope to have a very impressive RC scale model of the Cresco on this channel some time in the next few months. The model has a turboshaft engine, just like the real thing. Stay tuned for that.
