After some nice flying with my 3inch rig and a GoPro on top i decided to try the same with my 4" Freestyle quad which also uses 14xx motors.
It was not easy to find a suitable prop for this combo, since almost every prop i tried overheated the motors except the Kingkong 4045, but for proper Freestyle with the GoPro those KK props produce way to less thrust and the quad felt sloppy.
Then i found the DALPROP Q4040. I cutted them to biblade and with 2.5g per prop they are superlight and responsive, 40° pitch is also fine. Only downside is i get some awful yaw twiches on low-mid throttle but i may get them sorted out with a Yaw Lowpass Filter.
PID's are tuned but still not 100% locked in, Betaflight 3.4 feels awesome but i didn't liked the new DTerm settings so i used my old ones.
I think this will be the last BF update for me, don't really want to tinker around with FeedForward, iam happy with 3.4, 3.5 is getting to complex imo. I may have a look again when BF 4.0 comes out.
BTW: I love my new video quality i get out of that GoPro, no bitrate issues like noise artefacts on YT, natural colors, smooth 60FPS and no issues with flying against direct sunlight anymore. Thanks to ProTune Flat @ Adobe Premiere :)
