RFTC: Vortex 3D Printed FPV Hexacopter Camera Drone from Atlanta Hobby
In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew examines and flight tests the new Vortex hexacopter, developed in-house by Atlanta Hobby (/) as a robust aerial camera platform. Produced using a million-dollar, aerospace 3D printer, the Vortex comes equipped with a DJI NAZA2 flight controller and a DJI E600 propulsion system. Hand-assembled, it is carried aloft by a massive, six-cell 15,000 mAH LiPo battery, which is capable of delivering 15 minutes of flying time.
