In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew speaks with Jiong Zhou, the technical director of Chinese drone manufacturer ZeroTech. Established in 2007, ZeroTech became the largest supplier of fixed-wing drones in China and in 2011, it began to develop multirotor platforms for hobbyists as well as professional users. At the 2016 NAB Show in Las Vegas, it displayed the HighOne Pro, a quadcopter developed for aerial cinematography, as well as the E-Epic octocopter, designed for lifting heavier, digital cinema cameras. Other drones incorporate a 36x optical zoom for security and industrial inspection applications, and even a crop-spraying drone with a 20 gallon tank, in addition to a range of consumer drones.
