We spent the day with breathtaking views of Mount Batur from a helicopter and washing, feeding, and playing with elephants at Mason Elephant Park, Bali's only dedicated elephant rescue reserve. It was an incredible experience to get so close to these massive animals.
A few years ago we went to a park in Thailand that we later found was pretty unethical and treated the elephants poorly, we were happy to learn the history of this park and the code of conduct for how they treat their elephants. Always do your research with these kinds of places!
