Amazon Fire Phone | Hands On
Announced last month, the Amazon Fire Phone is the company's first attempt at mobile hardware. The device costing $199 under contract with AT&T has a premium feel that's competitive with flagship phones from Apple, HTC, and Samsung. Like the iPhone 4 and 4S, it has glass on the front and rear, while the curved plastic around the edge of the device has a smooth, solid feel. The Dynamic Perspective feature on the Fire Phone uses four infrared cameras located on the front of the device to let you look "into" the device by drawing screen elements so that they give the illusion that they're in 3D. The other stand out feature on the Amazon Fire Phone is Firefly, which you get to by holding down the dedicated camera button next to the volume rocker.
