Acer Revo Build Review - $179 Upgradeable Windows Mini PC - Gaming / Kodi / Office and more
Buy it on Amazon - (affiliate link) - Acer's new $179 Windows mini PC is somewhat upgradeable. But its gaming performance lags behind sub $200 competitors.
VIDEO INDEX:

0:56 - RAM upgradeability
1:21 - Stacking system discussion
1:58 - Ports
2:44 - Microsoft Word and Office Performance
3:00 - YouTube, Netflix and Web browsing performance
3:57 - Minecraft and gaming performance
6:39 - Kodi and Blu Ray MKV playback for Home theater
7:39 - Conclusion and final thoughts
The system has a unique stacking system that has some potential to be interesting. Right now only drive modules are available but they can be stacked on top of each other without the need to occupy USB ports. Other modules to add additional functionality are promised in the future.
The big issue for me on this device is its gaming performance. Other sub $200 PCs game better than this one does - especially when it comes to running Minecraft. It suffers from the same performance issues other PC's we've looked at do running with the Intel 3050 processor.
