MultiGP recently announced that they were removing battery voltage limits for the 2018 season. Racers will be allowed to run 5S, 6S... whatever works for them.
Some have complained that this will turn MultiGP into a "money game" where the pilots who can afford to destroy expensive high-voltage packs will win.
I don't think that's true, but it's probably not for the reason you think.
