This is a shopping list of the major components for this low budget build.
Note made following the maiden flight: After I had a chance to fly this plane, I'm happy to report that everything worked and worked well. I have no complaints about any of the components however, I put the same motor and ESC combination into a PZ Wildcat and smoked the ESC doing some full speed runs. I didn't want to take any chances and have since upgraded the ESC in this plane (and the other planes with the same motor) to a 60 Amp ESC.
I'm happy to report that although the ESC got smoked in the Wildcat, the BEC hung in long enough for me to safely land the plane. I love the smell of buring foam in the morning! And for what it's worth, the Wildcat is now wicked fast.
