From 1987 to 1990, Peugeot dominated the car category of the world’s toughest endurance race, The Dakar. Other manufacturers have enjoyed ‘purple patches’ of success too. However, few – if any – have triumphed every time it has entered. That dynasty of unprecedented trophy laden success has been gathering dust for a quarter of a century but now, 25 years after it won ‘four from four’, Peugeot is ready to return to Dakar.
