Synology RT1900ac Review:
Synology Cloud Sync Overview:
What I've always liked about Synology's NAS devices is that they generally make all features available on versions of their products. The individual hardware specs largely determine how many of those features can be active at the same time.
This is also the case with their router products, with this new RT2600ac product doubling the RAM over its predecessor and offering a faster processor with some hardware optimizations for packet analysis. The RT1900ac can run all of the same functions but the RT2600ac can do more at the same time.
The new VPN app is impressive, offering no less than five different VPN connection strategies all of which can be used at the same time. One of them is Synology's own creation that even allows for clientless connections to intranet sites on the local network. Really cool stuff.
Without question this is my go-to router at the moment. It's well supported with frequent updates, has a fantastic interface, and offers plenty of useful features.
