Iftron ClearView - Raw Video Range Test
Because the ClearView is not a traditional diversity receiver, this test was not performed using the same antennas as the other receivers. The diversity receivers in the test used one ImmersionRC 8 dBi patch antenna and one Foxeer cloverleaf antenna. The Clearview was using two Foxeer cloverleaf antennas. This means that, for the first half of the test, where the other receivers were operating on their patch antennas, the ClearView was at a 6 dB disadvantage. For perspective, 6 dB of signal strength equates to a doubling or halving of signal range. In other words, if the Clearview went as far as the others, it actually went twice as far, due to its handicap.
