Destiny may be longer than you think.
According to the Bungie Mobile App, our first Destiny Story playthrough took a little over six hours, but that number isn't representative of the actual time we spent doing all the things necessary to complete the core missions. Adding up the figures from our accumulated in-house footage, we know that a number of other necessary activities required us to expend closer to eighteen hours finishing the campaign on our first attempt.
