A quick history. As a kid, the Moroccan-born singer fell for the sound of Etta James while cruising with her limo-driver dad in the Virginia burbs. As a teen, she started getting serious about her own music. In 2014 she found herself on a Fabolous feature, and last year made a mark with “Wave,” ditched the DMV, and headed to New York. Check the “Girls” vid; she’s stylin’ strong with silver thigh-high boots and boppin’ the boroughs with her squad.
