In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew talks to Joseph Aletky from 3D Robotics (/) at FlySafe 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada () about the company's new Iris+ quadcopter. With new motors, a lighter airframe and a host of other improvements, the Iris+ promises double the flying time of its predecessor, as well as increased durability in a crash. Aletky also describes the newly released Droid Planner 2.0 software and “Follow Me” mode, also known as 3PV, which allows the aircraft to fly autonomously behind the operator, using the ground station's GPS receiver to determine its relative location.
