A $1.29 FPV diversity controller (theory & design)
A diversity controller for FPV RC planes and multirotors that costs just $1.29 and uses only 6 components?
Impossible???
See for yourself.
This video shows you the theory behind how this uber-simple diversity controller works and also demonstrates it working on a breadboard.
Part 2 has the instructions for building the dead-bug DIY diversity controller.
Here are some links for the parts:
Digikey:
LM324 14-pin DIP package ($0.57)
CD4066 14 pin DIP package ($0.52)
The resistors can be purchased anywhere and can be any power rating from 1/8W through to 1/4W. I'd expect to pay no more than $0.05 each for these.
