Every video game player since time immemorial has wanted to feel over-powered. Look at the console commands in Bethesda's open world games or the old GameShark days. That's another reason games like Prototype and Saints Row 4 were so much fun – they allowed us to feel crazy powerful throughout.
There are other games that make us feel over-powered, if only for brief moments of time, but when they do, it's the best feeling in the world.
