The split-s is probably the third acro move most FPV multirotor pilots learn, after the flip and roll. Doing a split-s around a tree canopy gives you lots of room for error, but what about doing one over a tree branch? This tutorial will show you how to perform the proximity split-s, a variant on the split-s where it is performed very close to an obstacle. Stick overlay is included so that you can see exactly what my sticks are doing.
