A great success; that’s what the first edition of the Armada Talent Experience in 2016 could definitely be called. After previous editions in the Netherlands (2014) and Miami (2015), no less than seventy Dutch talents got to attend the event, comprising the highly anticipated demo drop and masterclasses by two world-renowned artists: Armin van Buuren and Eelke Kleijn.
During his welcome speech, Armin van Buuren underlined that the Armada Talent Experience focusses solely on its attendees and their music. Said Armin van Buuren: “The Armada Talent Experience is about sharing knowledge and giving you and your music a chance to shine. Nothing is impossible and that’s why we’re here; to learn from each other in the same way that I still learn from other artists as well. Anyone of you could be the next superstar in Electronic Music.”
Both Armin van Buuren and Eelke Kleijn shared their secrets with the young talents. Eelke Kleijn dissected his remix of House classic ‘Discopolis’ by Kris Menace & Lifelike in front of the seventy-strong crowd, after which Van Buuren revealed the driving force behind one of his latest full-fledged trance tunes, ‘Safe Inside You’ feat. Betsie Larkin.
Afterwards, the young talents got to submit their own music to Armada Music’s capable team of A&R managers, who in turn provided each of them with tips and tricks on how to make their music even more impressive and how to make it stand out.
