Dropped by Spectrum Flyers in Surrey to watch Leigh take his first stab at Pattern flying. For a guy that just goofs off in the park with the rest of us, he shows skills we didn't know he had. We're getting hooked pretty hard on pattern flying as a way to focus how to learn to fly better and because it's fun to compete.
Speaking of which, Leigh won the Sportsman on Saturday and got bumped to Intermediate on Sunday and placed third. Well done Leigh!
A new pattern ship is on the way for yours truly and I'll be looking over Leigh's shoulder a lot.
