“Bing!” The little light blipped on. Our hero found himself disturbed by the incessant bleeping of the passenger next to him on the international flight pushing the button for the stewardess. Beggars can’t be choosers, and he *did* pay for an economy ticket, so what did he really expect? Still, the mystique of going to Dubai had made our hero hope for something more than just to be bothered by random riff-raff. So the question is: Why didn’t The Bearded Man buy a first class ticket, when he clearly has the money to spare? The answer? He was cursed by a gypsy woman in the 1600s, who foretold that he’d have to endure economy class misery for evermore.
