"Uncompromising percussive, bass heavy and dancefloor-ready club music" is the name of the game today. Step forth LDN sentinel and father of the new Sans Absence imprint, Akito. With an already strong reputation for spinning UK Funky and grime - example #1 being that Jerimih vs Wiley mash-up of yesteryear - him and D Warrior's new venture bows at the same tabernacle, albeit "with a slightly more de-saturated sound palette".
Fellow London producer, Luke West, is the first to draw blood with the OOOOO EP, which features three original tracks shouldered by remixes from the label owners. "Worl" is something of a midnight creeper; embodied by an unfussy, yet purposeful drum foundation and brass horn pumps that periodically fly by like road lights on a nocturnal drive.
