St Petersburg's bubbling scene was thrust into HD light when we made our first outing there back in October; and Roots United's Nocow set was truly the pick of the local litter. RUR001, the crew's inaugural physical release (out soon!), is a belting Nocow six-tracker, thrumming with insistent energy and a deep, seesawing lead. "Ayenward" drew various comparisons at BR HQ to Gene Farris, D. Tiffany and even the mighty Robert Hood. Watch his name magnify.
