We love 1080p; it ain’t hard to tell. Or in this instance, “Hard To Say”, a fresh cut from New York’s Max McFerren – née MCFERRDOG – who builds on the pair of screwball slammers thrown into that fuego Allergy Season compilation. This one alloys escalating funhouse keys to juddering rave breaks, ramping in intensity effectively right the way through.
His whole Sipps 12″ is one of a series of forthcoming 1080p releases eschewing the cassette format for actual physical pressing (1080V subbing 1080P on the catalogue number for added whimsy). There’ll be a repress of a track we Debuted earlier in the year, plus another half dozen or so quality records from the label’s A-roster. So there’s that to look forward to. Oh and also: you may be seeing Mr. McFerren on a web browser near you in the not-too-distant future (hint fucking hint).
1080V002 drops 21st September. You could opt for digital, but make the effort and splash on physical.
