I went ahead and removed the stickers on my motors because maybe they had an impact on balance, and the motors look better without them.
For my props I've been cheating in the past by not using prop spacers. Mainly because there weren't any that fit my iPower motors perfectly. So I went ahead and designed and 3D printed spacers that fit perfectly. Hopefully this will keep the hub nice and centered around the motor shaft.
Then I balanced my Gemfan props using the scotch tape method. Not the best way to do it, I know. But the results are pretty good. Definitely the best that I've seen when flying with Gemfan props.
I recently purchased Graupner E-props, which are awesome. But for me it's important to be able to fly with cheap props whenever necessary.
Now my motor is grinding and causing a bunch of vibes on the TBS Discovery. I'll post a follow-up soon where I try to troubleshoot the issue. It could be a bent motor shaft, bad magnet or bearing.
