Foursquare recently pivoted after splitting off their check-in feature into an app called Swarm. Now, you can directly use your location, time of day and follows of taste-making influencers to get recommendations for food, shopping and nightlife in the new Foursquare. This move is obviously a direct competitor to Yelp. With John being an avid Yelper, will a more personalized review and recommendation app be enough to sway him?
