We've got a lot of respect for In Paradisum's small, yet gold nugget imprint. The sounds emanating from their Parisian hub have remained a consistent joy since they opened their doors back in 2011.
The forthcoming En Asie EP by Roger West is a proper tutorial in musical crossover. No two tracks alike, Roger toasts to hybridity with a cut-paste montage of weird and wonderful electronic moments.
Our EP highlight is track three, "Shanpan". Playfulness is the main trait of this funk hodgepodge, wonkily PVA-ing contrasting snippets of 90s American sitcom-esque sounds atop each other. A crucial listen.
