What's inside the Walkera AiBao augmented reality drone? Well I still don't know because it's not an easy thing to break into.
Walkera have said they'll send an updated version of their AiBao drone for review so I thought that in the meantime I'd take this one apart and see how well it's made. Well there are some surprises. What a shame they didn't opt to produce a low-cost version of the Karma or Mavic Pro instead of a "game-drone".
Given the recent Total Recall :D of the GoPro Karma, the Walkera may have had a chance to capture some market share if the AiBao was capable of something as basic as recording video from its 4K camera.
Sadly, Walkera's manual soldering is still abysmal and the attention to detail (even for a pre-release model is poor.
So close and yet so far.
