The trailer for “It: Chapter Two” has finally arrived, giving us our first look at the follow-up to 2017’s “It.” We break down the hints, clues, references, and hidden meanings in the terrifying new trailer.
2017’s “It” was based on the Stephen King novel by the same name. But the first film only covered half of the classic book. The 2019 sequel picks up where we left off in the book, fast forward 27 years. It’s the mid-1980s now, and the Losers Club are reuniting as adults in Derry, Maine, to respond to the resurfacing of Pennywise. Based on what we see in the trailer, he’s even more deranged than we left him.
The new film stars Jessica Chastain as a grown-up Beverly Marsh, James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough, Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, Andy Bean as Stan Uris, and of course, Bill Skarsgård returning as Pennywise.
“It: Chapter Two” is set for release September 6, 2019.
