Fast(ish) fixed-wing FPV RC plane just 80 grams?
As part of the long-range sub-250g FPV project I thought I would try something a bit faster (and lighter) than the HobbyKing Bonsai. Converting the (no longer available) Radjet 420 to FPV was very easy and the all-up weight came in at an astonishingly light 80 grams thanks to the Runcam MicroSwift and 200mW VTX.
Flight performance in the windy and turbulent conditions was also very pleasantly surprising -- far more capable than the Bonsai.
With the information obtained from the Bonsai and this airframe, I'll now complete the design and build of the actual airframe for this sub-250g long-range FPV project. Stay tuned!
