Maker Faire 2012: The Viper Motion Controlled Flight Simulator
Five friends spent six months designing, engineering, and building a full-motion flight simulator almost all by themselves. The result is The Viper, a Battlestar Galactica themed simulator that rotates 360 degrees on two axes and runs open source software on all custom built hardware. It's one of the most amazing things we saw at Maker Faire 2012.
