Did you ever do that when you were a kid? Turn the volume up and down over and over again on your TV remote to piss off your brother, sister, or parents? Up down up down up down up down? Did they eventually yell at you and say “LEAVE THE REMOTE ALONE IT’S NOT A TOY!!” Pretty annoying stuff, all those years ago, right? Who would have guessed that in 2016, it was exactly this habit that made The Bearded Man so successful at music. He just moved his synth volumes up down up down up down. Dude invented side-chaining when he was 9 years old, and he didn’t use a plugin then or now. Just good ‘ole fashion automation or manual movement. A while back, nowheres in particular, he shared his skills with Joyzu, and the team rejoiced over drinks and much merriment. Granted, Joyzu may have perfected the art form since then, but The Bearded Man was he who invented music at the dawn of all mankind. It’s not that he’s arrogant, he’s just really insistent on getting proper credit since he’s been alive for thousands of years. FYI, he also invented sliced bread. Soooooo… yeah, he’s kind of a big deal.
