FrSky are about to launch a new telemetry-enabled 2.4GHz spread-spectrum RC system that has inbuilt-support for telemetry.
This video kicks off the start of a DIY project from RC Model Reviews that will show you how to build your own telemetry "dashboard" for any transmitter and a telemetry "hub" that will allow a wide range of sensors and devices (such as GPS, airspeed, tachometer,etc) to be connected.
