The Plaka, the old town of Athens, has two faces. On one side it is very touristy with souvenir shops and restaurants and on the other hand it fascinates with picturesque lanes and cozy old taverns. In the midst of the city you can even find olive groves. In the Plaka you get an idea of how Athens looked like before it mutated into a major city.

Die Plaka, die Altstadt von Athen, hat zwei Gesichter. Ein touristisches mit Souvenirläden und Restaurants und abseits der touristischen Pfade ein ursprüngliches mit malerische Gassen und lauschige Tavernen. Sogar Olivenhaine befinden sich inmitten der Großstadt. Hier erhält man einen Eindruck, wie einst Athen ausgesehen hat, ehe es zur Großstadt mutierte.
