In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew unboxes and sets up the EVO drone from Autel Robotics. It's a compact, folding-limb quadcopter designed as direct competition to the DJI Mavic Pro. The EVO features excellent built quality and Autel Robotics' signature orange color, to enhance visibility in flight. The mounted camera is capable of shooting 4K video at up to 60 frames per second, as well as capturing 12 megapixel still images. The EVO also incorporates forward and rear collision avoidance sensors, as well as ultrasonic altitude sensors and optical flow cameras. The EVO controller includes a full-color OLED screen, capable of displaying telemetry as well as live video from the aircraft – so no need for a smart phone.
